May 10 Quesnel to Buckinghorse on the Alcan

Left camp before 6:00 a.m. - 32 degrees out. At 1:30 we were at Dawson Creek which is "Mile One" of the Alaska Canada Highway (Alcan). We drove to Buckinghorse Provincial Park which is between Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson. 518 miles today. Most of the lakes are still frozen over and many of the campgrounds are not open yet. Beautiful drive today but my camera froze up and we lost all of the pictures. AGH!!!! It is so wierd because none of the trees have bloomed yet. No spring here! Today we saw 16 deer in 5 different locations.
